As a Senior Principal Architect at JPMorgan Chase within the Architecture and Engineering, you provide specialized expertise to influence the target state architecture and strategy. Work across teams to implement and advance the adoption of complex strategic global solutions that give JPMorgan Chase a competitive advantage.
Job responsibilities
- Lead a team of Architects and partner with Technology and Product leaders, Risk & Controls, Data & Analytics peers to align and deliver on the architecture strategy
- Translates highly complex technical issues, trends, and approaches to leadership to drive the firm’s innovation and enable leaders to make strategic, well-informed decisions about target state architecture
- Drives adoption and implementation of technical methods in specialized fields in line with the latest product development methodologies
- Establishes and leads an architecture governance body
- Creates durable, reusable software frameworks that improves velocity and quality of output across teams and functions
- Champions the firm’s culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 10 years applied experience
- Practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Experience in architecting complex large scale distributed systems with resiliency (kafka)
- Demonstrated prior experience influencing across functions and teams to deliver modern architecture
- Experience applying expertise and new methods to determine solutions for complex architecture problems across various technical disciplines
- Extensive practical cloud native experience
- Ability to evaluate current and emerging technologies to recommend the best technology solutions and approaches to achieve the future state architecture
- Deep expertise with products related to APIs, SDKs, Micro services’ frameworks, Data platforms, Data Streaming and Stream processing technologies
- Experience engaging stakeholders across an organization to set strategy, align on priorities and deliver to a roadmap while managing to changing business needs and requirements
- Experience working at code level
- Experience building configurable, scalable, extensible, highly available (SaaS) platforms is a plus
