As a Senior Lead Data Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate and Investment Bank Merchant Services line of business, you are an integral part of an data team that works to define data, design data structures and deliver data solutions in a secure, stable, and scalable way. Leverage your deep technical expertise and problem solving capabilities to drive significant business impact and tackle a diverse array of challenges that span multiple database technologies, data architectures, and data consumers.

Job responsibilities

• Provides direction and recommendations on data governance and data management procedures as well as the intricacies applicable to the acquisition, maintenance, validation, and utilization of data​​
• Generates advanced data models for one or more teams using firmwide tooling
• Review data modeling of other data engineers and technologists on data governance and management practices
• Designs and delivers trusted data collection, storage, access, and analytics data platform solutions in a secure, stable, and scalable way
• Help define database back-up, recovery, and archiving strategy 
• Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• 5 years working experience with Oracle or comparable relational database
• 5 years working experience data modeling relational or dimensional databases
• Working experience in data governance defining a business data dictionary and business metadata
• Working experience with designing for performance in both relational and NoSQL databases​
• Advanced understanding of database back-up, recovery, and archiving strategies
• Experience presenting and delivering visual data

• Experience with, Snowflake , Postgres and NoSQL databases​
