Overall group responsibilities include, but are not limited to counterparty risk measurement, monitoring (and escalating as appropriate) of those risks/exposures, ad hoc risk investigations and analyses for credit officers, sales and senior management, assessment of CSA terms adequacy, determination of initial margin requirements including corresponding eligible collateral and valuations where applicable, ownership and maintenance of all credit exposure metrics (continuous adequacy assessment), all related exposure calculation/reporting engines and their development agendas and priorities.Job responsibilities Manage a small team to achieve CCR NA Bilateral objectives and liase with Senior lead personnel in Credit, Sales & Trading, as well as Senior Management Demonstrates a deep understanding of various risk exposures across multi asset counterparty portfolios and initiate action and direct the team's next steps through active monitoring through their experience in risk and limit management Work with various risk measurements and assessments like HVAR, Peak and Stress to ascertain and align risk appetite for counterparties Demonstrate strong communication skills and ability to evidence quantitatively in order to support risk decisions to Senior Risk Managers and Credit Risk Officers Work with QR, Technology, Credit Officer and other stakeholders to continuously review and enhance exposure methodologies and tools Act as subject matter expert on counterparty credit exposure/risks, providing guidance and training to Credit Officers on material methodology releases or model limitations, and helping guide methodology and policy updates Manage and contribute to firm-wide projects around key counterparty credit exposure metrics & technical enhancements Responsible for driving outcomes in identifying, analyzing, monitoring, and reporting on inherent risks within counterparty exposures, self-starter Formulate views around product risk appetite and be able to review and challenge business stakeholders' risk related questions Work closely with Front Office/Credit Risk/Operations team to size and evaluate appropriate execution and clearing limits for new and existing clients to the platform Contributing to firm-wide projects around key counterparty credit exposure metrics & technical enhancementsRequired qualifications, skills, and capabilities 5 years in risk management, quantitative financing or trading fields Good working knowledge of Exchange Traded Derivatives (ETD), Options, FX products (Spot, Forwards), OTC Derivatives products across different asset classes Exemplifies a strong ability to work efficiently and closely with others in a team Strong organizational, control, project management, communication, and negotiation skills Ability to work independently with limited guidance Expertise in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint Preferred qualifications, skills, and capabilities Modeling skills in Excel (VBA), SQL, Tableau and Python a plus Strong sense of accountability and ownership of responsibilities; diligent and self-motivated Strong problem-solving abilities with the capability to challenge status quo, seek ways to do things more efficiently and effectively Highly confident and commercial - possess conviction to challenge and make a risk judgment, stick to it and be able to articulate reasoning behind it Excellent written and verbal communication skills; must be articulate and have ability to explain technical concepts to non-specialists and ability to adjust communication style for a variety of situations and be able to defend your stance, as needed
