JPMorgan Chase is Hiring a HR Finance & Business Manager, TCDE Vice President Near Jersey, NJ

As a Finance & Business Manager you will optimise business performance by helping drive key initiatives, with a primary focus on budget and headcount management. This role supports the Talent & Career Development Experience organisation within HR. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Providing day-to-day support for the ED and VP Business Managers for TCDE with headcount and budget management – data analysis (bridges, forecasting, reconciling data), proactively tracking cost saves, efficiencies/productivity targets, investments, vendor spend, budget transfers and other expense or headcount related commitments (at a line-by-line level of detail) 
  • Managing the analysis and reporting for the annual and monthly budget processes for TCDE, providing analysis and forecasting insights including monthly variance commentary, risks and opportunities and other trends
  • Develop insightful reporting, focusing on drivers, and understanding the context behind the expense base; analysing the compensation and non-compensation expenses, allocations, accruals and headcount for month-end processes 
  • Alongside the VP Business Manager, partner with HR Planning & Analysis (P&A), Corporate P&A, LOB P&A teams and other Business Managers to provide a consolidated view of headcount and expenses in TCDE each month. Utilise this to respond to monthly budget management requests from HR P&A (e.g. Outlook adjustments including risks and opportunities, walk commentary, month-on-month movements etc.)
  • Create, maintain and review financial models and analysis, and own regular financial MI and reporting for TCDE
  • Support with vendor expense management as a key central point of contact for TCDE, working with the relevant SMEs and vendor management teams in Learning to pull together information for requests from numerous sources, for review by the Business Manager 
  • Preparing analysis and insights for materials (papers, presentation decks, slides etc.) across a wide range of topics and multiple different teams, often for senior management 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 6 years prior experience in Business Management, Finance or COO roles
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills, with previous budget and financial P&L experience 
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills, used to handling confidential and sensitive information and preparing materials for a senior executive audience 
  • Excellent oral and written communication and relationship management skills
  • Strong problem solving and project management skills with a proven track record of execution against deliverables; a strategic thinker, challenging and questioning activity to get to the right outcome for the organisation
  • Ability to synthesis large amounts of data, summarise key concepts and articulate appropriately – sourcing further information where required 
  • Sound judgment, professional maturity, personal integrity, and strong work ethic
  • Proactive and results-oriented, ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Team oriented, ability to build strong partnerships and manage stakeholders at all level
  • Strong understanding and experience with Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or other related area
