Global Real Estate – Design Management Lead, New York Midtown Campus 

JPMC is seeking a senior level professional to join a Global Corporate Real Estate (GRE) Redevelopment Project Team, working on the modernization of workspace, amenity and building infrastructure to enhance the midtown campus in New York. You will directly collaborate with a team of stakeholders (internal and external) consisting of Senior Leaders, Project Managers, Development Managers, Architects, Engineers and other subject matter experts to facilitate interactions across all aspects of the project, ensuring quality and adherence to program requirements, budget, and schedule. The candidate will be responsible for the day to day management of the design development, consultant management, and design execution.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project fulfills or exceeds all requirements for design intent
  • Continuously ensure schedule and budget are aligned with project goals and requirements
  • Lead teams of internal and external stakeholders for various workstreams
  • Work alongside sourcing to develop RFP materials for varying scopes of work which will directly impact the employee and guest experience within the midtown campus.
  • Partner with Project Operations to create design updates for Senior Leadership
  • Resolve issues, as escalated, and ensure all key stakeholders are informed.
  • Assist in the development of process documentation and internal control procedures for assigned activities
  • Ongoing and accurate reporting of project development
  • Oversee project designers and architects through final completion of program

Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities:

  • Professional degree in Architecture, Construction Management or Interior Design along with a successful track record of managing all phases of corporate base building and interiors projects and leading multiple complex projects at the same time
  • Minimum 10 years real estate industry experience with a focus on Design, Real Estate Project Management and/or Business Management experience
  • Minimum 5years of program management experience required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to be flexible and effectively work with others as a team to ensure projects remain on track
  • Demonstrated ability to plan ahead and communicate upcoming stakeholder decisions, provide critical information required, and follow up to ensure timely resolution
  • Possess a high degree of initiative with a proven track record of achieving results
  • Excellent project and budget management skills
  • Ability to multitask in a dynamic environment and make sound decisions based on experience, analysis, and judgement.

Preferred Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities:

  • Excellent working knowledge of the commercial furniture industry and related supply chain.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, Strong organizational skills
  • Proven track record of executing responsibilities while operating under pressure
  • Proven conflict management and issue resolution ability
  • Experience with the development of process documentation and internal control procedures
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams and a broad scope of accountabilities
  • Strong understanding of system furniture and components
