JPMorgan Chase is Hiring a Digital Learning Developer III-Vice President Near Columbus, OH

As a Digital Learning Developer III, you will have the opportunity to lead initiatives that drive learner engagement and improve employee skills, knowledge, and job performance. The Digital Learning Developer III works closely with the Production Manager and a team of Digital Learning Developers and Instructional Designers who will identify, recommend, and create digital learning solutions to meet critical business goals. You will collaborate with others to develop high-quality videos, graphics, and other digital learning products to be deployed through an emerging performance management platform.

Job Responsibilities: 

Critical aspects of the role require a Developer with strong leadership and development skills and experience who:

  • Employs design thinking, digital design, and agile development processes to drive learning retention
  • Demonstrates personal ability to develop trending digital micro-learning content on par with expectations of team members; maintains strong knowledge of industry innovations, social media trends and best practices, including video-first platforms, such as YouTube and TikTok
  • Identifies and drives the development of innovative, engaging, impactful solutions that address requirements, improves learner outcomes and delivers measurable results to the business; These would consist of high-quality videos and graphics using industry applications (e.g., Storyline, Adobe Creative Cloud, (Premier Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop), Camtasia, After Effects, Adobe Animate)
  • Consults with Instructional Designers and business leaders to identify performance trends, define learning strategies, and oversee plans to implement solutions 
  • Manages complex learning initiatives in a design project lifecycle, including hands-on design and development of digital learning solutions and overseeing others; Tracks actual time spent on projects and critical needs
  • Partners with leadership to create a culture where all team members can share diverse perspectives and thrive to produce quality results
  • Provides recommendations to enhance internal processes to support content inventory, design practices, project execution, and other needs 

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Bachelor’s/Masters degree in Digital Media Design, Visual Communication, Graphic Design, User Experience/User Interface, Computer Science, Instructional Design and digital marketing or similar degree (preferred) or equivalent extensive work experience
  • Experience (9 years) in designing, developing and troubleshooting web, print, video, audio, graphic and multimedia deliverables; strong knowledge of social media trends and best practices, including video-first platforms, such as YouTube and TikTok
  • Knowledge of ADA and WCAG 2.1 levels A-AA requirements and experience developing fully accessible digital solutions
  • Extensive software skill experience – expert level proficiency in four or more tools in the adobe Creative Suite applications (Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop, adobe Illustrator, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Audition, adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe Animate); and expet level proficiency in multiple design and development tools/programs (Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, HTM5, CSS3, JavaScript (responsive development_, SCORM, xAPI, LTI, Gamification, Video/Audio Studio production and editing, Generative Predictive Text (using artificial intelligence), 3D Modeling, Figma, Microsoft Office Tools)
  • Strong attention to detail in developing and publishing learning solutions, and ensuring accuracy and quality of content
  • Strong organizational, project and time management skills, with the ability to work effectively on multiple projects in a fast moving, deadline-driven and agile development environment; demonstrated timely task completion and quality of deliverables
  • Proven accomplishment in building inclusive partnerships and relationships with customers and internal clients; openness to multiple perspectives; work both independently and collaboratively to achieve outcomes

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Experience designing for a millennial audience with stimulating ideas – not your “traditional” page-turners
  • Experience researching, evaluating, and prototyping emerging technologies/approaches and consult on potential application in learning
  • Strong knowledge in educational technology, adult learning and educational best practices
  • Ability to identify, learn, and troubleshoot new tools, platforms, and production processes
