JPMC Candidate Experience page is Hiring a Field Communications Manager - Affluent Segment, Consumer & Community Banking - Vice President Near Boston, MA

Our Consumer & Community Banking communications team is seeking an experienced communications professional to lead, develop, and execute the field communications strategy for J.P. Morgan Private Client, a new business unit focused on the affluent client segment. This new unit was formed following the firm’s acquisition of First Republic and its employees. Your goal will be to keep employees connected, engaged, and informed, working collaboratively with the head of Sales Strategy, regional sales leads and the broader team as they look to bring this new offering to the market. Strong leadership, writing and organizational skills are critical for this position.

Job Summary

As a member of the Communications team reporting to the Head of Communications for the new business unit, you will take complex financial and regulatory issues and make them understandable for the average reader. You will also help organize and distribute information through our internal channels. The Communications team is at the center of every major issue for our business, and your role will be critical to ensure our employees have timely information on or close to real time. We're a highly motivated, fast-moving team that operates like a news organization. A positive outlook and creative ideas are encouraged.

The new business unit within CCB will focus on serving the affluent-client segment through deposits and residential mortgages, and referrals to other lines of businesses across the firm. The business is supported by heritage First Republic bankers and support teams who sit in offices and branches across the country and act as the key point of contact to the client. 

 Job Responsibilities

  • Manage the communications needs for the head of Sales Strategy
  • Project manage and execute major communications initiatives
  • Oversee the field narrative, including writing, editing and delivery of field communications
  • Promote this new unit within the firm by finding opportunities to highlight its progress, including developing engaging multimedia content in the Intranet
  • Liaise with our business to create a consistent voice across materials
  • Use internal technology to track engagement of internal communications and offer advice on the best strategy for reaching employees
  • Prepare presentations and participate in meetings with senior business and client stakeholders to ensure project goals are met and manage stakeholder needs and expectations
  • Provide additional communications support, when needed, for other related projects including the First Republic integration 
  • Assist with and manage other content projects, as needed

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • 7-10 years of Communications experience
  • Superior writing skills with versatility in format, including technical writing, executive messaging and copy editing
  • Efficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Must be a quick study of complex or technical topics and be able to simplify those concepts into clear, precise writing
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working on tight deadlines
  • Ability to recognize tasks that need to be completed and willingness to take responsibility for them
  • Must be able to produce urgent/crisis communications on demand, and be able to work early mornings and evenings as needed
  • Ability to work both independently as well as collaboratively and effectively in a group setting and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Bachelor’s degree required

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Prior experience in financial services preferred
  • Ability to recognize and respond well to changing priorities
