Joyous Town Preschool located in Edmonds is seeking qualified, dependable and passionate Infant Teacher to join our amazing team! We are dedicated to providing a high-quality and holistic approach by incorporating Montessori and STEAM curriculum.

The Infant Teacher will be responsible for providing a safe and nurturing environment, and fostering the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of each student. Following all DCYF and WAC requirements. We are looking for an individual that has strong understanding of a classroom and passionate for Early Childhood Education.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement lesson plans appropriate for infants
• Attend to the physical and emotional needs of infants, including feeding, diapering, and comforting
• Observe and document developmental progress of infants and communicate with parents/guardians regularly
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure continuity of care and education
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom consistent with health and safety standards
• Ensuring close communication with parents throughout the day should the need arise
• Track children's progress and daily report to parents
• Display a patient and calm personality coupled with a loving approach to every child
• Contributing positively to the behavior and social interaction of the children

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
• One year of working experience with infants
• Knowledge of infant development and care
• Ability to communicate effectively with parents and colleagues
• Patience and ability to handle high-stress situations
• Familiar with state's safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
• Proven initiative and accountability
• Able to obtain Safe Sleep Training, CPR & First Aid, Food Handler permit, TB Test, Basic 30 Stars hours

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
