Position Summary: As a Structural Engineer at our Steel Fabrication and Erection Company, you will play a pivotal role in driving the successful execution of engineering projects, contributing your expertise to both technical analysis and project management. While engineering tasks will encompass approximately 15% of your responsibilities, you'll also engage in project management and estimation activities, collaborating closely with team members to ensure excellence in every facet of our operations. Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the engineering team to analyze and evaluate structural designs, calculations, and drawings.
Assist in the project management process, including estimation, planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Work closely with engineer records to review and recommend designs for approval, utilizing your strong knowledge of engineering principles.
Provide technical support and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.
Demonstrate a proactive approach to problem-solving, adapting to the challenges posed by new projects and ensuring their successful execution.
Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reports related to engineering analysis and project progress.
Qualifications:
Some education (Bachelor's degree preferred but not required) in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering with a structural focus, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. All candidates with a strong foundation and practical experience will be considered.
Proficiency in CAD software, with hands-on experience in utilizing engineering drawings for analysis and evaluation.
Minimum 2 years of experience in a related engineering role, demonstrating a track record of successful project management and technical analysis.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling effective collaboration with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
Detail-oriented mindset with excellent problem-solving capabilities and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality.
