Position Summary: As a Project Manager/Estimator at our Steel Fabrication and Erection Company, you will be at the forefront of our operations, responsible for estimating, managing, and overseeing projects from inception to completion. With a strong emphasis on communication, relationship-building, and expertise, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our clients. You'll handle a diverse range of projects, from 50 to 5000 hours over a period of weeks or months, and collaborate with a dynamic team to ensure successful project execution and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:

• Estimate and sell projects to clients, utilizing strong phone skills and effective communication to establish trust and credibility.
• Manage projects throughout their lifecycle, from initial estimation and planning to fabrication, installation, and closeout.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams, including field personnel, scheduling, and office staff, to ensure seamless project execution.
• Utilize Microsoft Sheets and Tekla software to track and manage project details, including purchasing, detailing, fabrication, installation, and RFIs.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, serving as a reliable point of contact and establishing yourself as an industry expert.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ranging in size and complexity, while maintaining a high standard of quality and meeting deadlines.

Qualifications:

• Some education (trade school or certificate programs ok, Bachelor's degree preferred) in a business or construction-related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Project Manager/Estimator in a similar role within the construction industry.
• Strong phone skills and communication abilities to effectively follow up with prospects, close sales, and interact with clients and internal teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Sheets for project tracking and management.
• Preferred: familiarity with Tekla software (or similar) for tracking purchasing, detailing, fabrication, installation, and RFIs.
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Collaborative mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving and project execution.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of quality.
