Child Care/Part-Time for the 2022-2023 school year: The purpose of the child care worker is to provide daily care for PK3 and PK4 children after their academic morning, as well as provide support to the Child Care Lead Teacher with classroom management, activities, crafts and supervision. Proposed hours are 11:30am 5:45pm.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Education Level: Bachelors Degree or close to completion therein.

Experience Desired: Three (3) years in a similar position

Essential Functions/Skills:

Possess knowledge of Early Childhood New Learning Standards.

Provide lessons and words that support the Montessori method and philosophy.

Observe and monitor students to guide the program.

Work with teachers and administration to develop a quality program.

Establish a professional and supportive relationship with all students, parents, colleagues and administration.

Demonstrate ability to instruct students and manage their behavior.

Meet attendance requirements.

Participate in ongoing professional growth and serve on committees or groups as requested.

Willingness to take classes in communicable disease recognition, child abuse recognition, basic first aid, and Safeparish training.

Willingness to interact with children by reading stories, preparing games, creating arts and crafts, monitoring and suggesting playground games, and providing safety at all times.

Assist in maintaining playground environment.
