Job Description:

Are you passionate about helping individuals on their journey to recovery from substance abuse? We are seeking a dedicated Substance Abuse Counselor with LADAC licensure or LADAC candidates to join our outpatient treatment team in Tennessee. As a Substance Abuse Counselor, you will play a vital role in providing evidence-based counseling services to clients seeking outpatient support for substance use disorders.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' substance use history and treatment needs.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessments and client goals.
• Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions using evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
• Monitor and document clients' progress in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary treatment team to ensure coordinated and holistic care.
• Provide education and support to clients and their families.
• Stay current with advancements in the field through continuing education.

Qualifications:

• LADAC (Licensed Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor) licensure in the state of Tennessee.
• For candidates: Enrollment in or completion of a LADAC program and eligibility for licensure.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
• Previous experience in substance abuse counseling, preferably in an outpatient setting.
• Strong clinical and assessment skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems is a plus.
