Philosophy
Journey Counseling and Community Services, LLC (Journey CCS) fundamental philosophy is built on the belief that mental illness is treatable, and is committed to provide a program of treatment, education, and therapy for children, adolescents, adults, and their families. We believe that children and adolsent learn and thrive best in a supportive environment. With support, dignity, and respect to each person served, Journey CCS will empower clients in their "Journey through Life" to improve their quality of life and self-efficacy.

Journey Counseling and Community Services, LLC maintains as its mission a commitment to improve the welfare of the community through service accessibility, education/ skill building, resource linkage, and improving family relationships.
Functional Family Therapy
Functional Family Therapy is an empirical evidence- based home and community service program that targets children aged 10-18 with emotional and behavioral problems to decrease out- of- home placement, incarceration, and maladaptive behaviors. FFT Therapists receive extensive training to implement and provide FFT services while adhering to the FFT model. Journey CCS will provide services in region 9 consisting of (Tangipahoa, St. Tammany, Livingston).

Job Description
Education Requirement: Master’s Degree in social work, counseling, psychology, sociology, or other relevant human service profession, with one years’ experience providing children and family services. Persons with a related bachelor’s degree and significant (more than 2 years) clinical experience in treating mental health disorders in child and adolescents and experience in children and family services may also qualify at the discretion of the agency.
