Position Description:Ryerson has an opportunity for an Warehouse Material Handler (1st Shift). As an Warehouse Material Handler (1st Shift), you are responsible for filling customer orders by identifying material and staging material within the warehouse.

Roles and Responsibilities:
* You will use mobile equipment to fill customer orders, retrieve stock from racks, and stage material for processing
* Proper material identification is key. Must be able to complete all required documentation and tag material
* Receive and inspect material from inbound trucks
* Ensure the material meets customer expectations with accurate and proper inspection techniques
* Check to make sure your machine is in working order and document any issues
* This position is safety sensitive. Ideal candidate can comply with company safety policies to ensure a safe work environment
* All other duties as assigned or duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice
Position Requirements:*1-3 years of experience with Forklifts and Overhead Cranes
*Ability to pass physical requirements exam for vision and hearing, as well as mobility and lifting requirements
*Great attitude and team player
*Ability to work assigned overtime, at times with short notice
*Successfully pass the Ramsay Corporation Combined Basic Skills Assessment which evaluates your reading, math, inspection & measurement, and process monitoring & problem-solving skills
*Ability to find, enter, and print information on a computer as necessary
