Position Description:Ryerson has an opportunity for an Operations supervisor position. As a Operations Supervisor you are responsible for direct the efficient function of plant operations and understanding production goals and implement actions necessary to meet objectives

This position is is 2nd shift (3PM to 11PM, Monday to Friday).
* Understand production goals and implement actions necessary to meet objectives
* Provides leadership to direct reports; coaches and counsels employees
* Understands quality goals and implement actions necessary to meet goals
* Ensure training is effectively carried out and oversee completion of training checklist
* Communicate with other departments within facility as well as other Ryerson locations
* Understand customer requirements, participate and advise on decisions regarding suitability of material and processing capabilities
* All other duties as assigned or duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice
Position Requirements:* High School Diploma / GED is required; Associate's or Technical Degree is preferred
* Supervisory experience in a warehouse setting
* Knowledge of various employment laws (i.e, OHSA) and government regulations (i.e., DOT)
* Knowledge of all warehouse machine and equipment operations; experience working with slitting and cut-to-length lines, etc. in a metals warehouse environment
* Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
* Demonstrated verbal, written and interpersonal skills
* Understands how to drive change within a dynamic environment
* Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making skills
Salary: $61,730 - $92,596 annually (reflects the entire pay rate). A starting salary higher than $61,730 annually is based on a level of experience and education that significantly exceeds the minimum requirements and is commensurate with the compensation scale
