Position Description:Ryerson has an opportunity for a Customer Engagement Specialist position. As a Customer Engagement Specialist, you are responsible for ensuring orders are correctly processed with minimal assistance, developing consistent customer accounts, by making outbound/inbound sales calls.

Roles and Responsibilities:
* Maintain territory/account with a strategic approach while managing resources
* Assists in training new team members
* Assists in creating account development plans
* Performs inventory management for customer specific material
* Communicates with operations team and may serve as a production meeting representative
* Occasional face-to-face customer interaction and moderate authority/opportunity to set and negotiate product/service terms
* All other duties as assigned or duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice

Position Requirements:* Bachelor's Degree is preferred
* 1-3 years prior sales or metal industry experience preferred
* Solid understanding of product offerings, ERP system and markets served
* Minimal travel required. Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected with advance notice.
* General understanding of metal processes and products
