A behavioral healthcare organization in Fairfield County is seeking a Human Resources Manager to lead its small organization in hiring, training, managing company payroll, and other Human Resources initiatives. This individual will be knowledgeable on employment best practices, as well as local, state and federal laws related to hiring and Human Resources.
Principal Responsibilities:
Work collaboratively with leadership team to draft employee job descriptions and fill open company positions
Facilitate a positive experience for job candidates interviewing for company's opportunities and providing full on-boarding/training program to new hires and existing staff
Create and manage employee files, along with Human Resources documentation and performance reviews
Interview prospective employees and conduct reference checks prior to hiring
Oversee payroll operations, PTO accruals and balances, employee attendance records and time off requests
Manage state and Joint Commission regulations related to internal Human Resources protocols and employee personnel files
Oversee aspects of program scheduling in coordination with Program Directors
Assist with other projects when requested
Qualifications/Experience:
Minimum 2 years of experience in Human Resources
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
Experience in Behavioral Healthcare strongly preferred
