An established and reputable treatment center in Newport Beach that provides gender-specific treatment for addiction, mental health and eating disorders for both males and females is seeking a Case Manager. The organization offers treatment utilizing many therapeutic approaches at Detox, Residential, and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) levels of care. This is an on-site position, where the Case Manager will oversee a case load of 6-8 clients struggling with addiction, eating disorder, and/or mental illness by assessing client needs, developing, implementing and reviewing progress of service plans, and collaborating with other community resources to meet and achieve client service needs.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Participate in interdisciplinary staff meetings
Complete case management assessments on newly assigned clients after their completion of a diagnostic intake by a licensed provider
Provide case management services, such as intake assessments, treatment planning, goal setting, progress monitoring and discharge planning
Meet with clients and fellow staff to review progress towards meeting service goals and make modifications to service plans when appropriate
Conduct daily therapy and educational groups as assigned
Meet with clients regularly (weekly or biweekly) to identify client needs and monitor progress in treatment
Participate in regular weekly staff meetings, staff training programs, and supervisory sessions
Availability for alternate, evening/weekend schedules and shifts when needed to meet client needs and, state/ regulatory agency requirements
JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors Degree in related field, preferred
Certification or Registration as a Chemical Dependency Counselor or related mental health field
Minimum of 2 years of experience in the field of chemical dependency counseling.
