The Assistant Superintendent will provide overall project supervision and management of field labor, subcontractors, field mechanics, site safety, equipment and other needs required from project initialization and kick-off through final project completion. Maintain highest level of quality, safety and productivity possible in field personnel. Give direction to field workers during daily huddle to efficiently complete each day’s activity and goals. Quantify daily progress and make decisions on corrective action to ensure success. The Assistant Superintendent reports to the Superintendent, Project Manager and/or Reclamation Manager.

This position requires:

• Technical knowledge of the industry to properly supervise a crew and assist them in their growth in the reclamation industry.
• Technical Knowledge of Oil and Gas Industry
• Understand project scope and detail progress of project with Client, Project Manager, and Crews.
• Proper planning of multiple complex sites. Projects range from single day sites to longer term projects.
• Provide clear direction through candid communication and encouraging positive and negative feedback.
• Measuring progress and taking corrective action as needed.
• Proper completion of reports required for the project.
• Ability to react quickly to minimize downtime, wasted time and money and to meet the needs of the client.
• Demonstrate responsible timekeeping and purchasing.
• Meeting estimated costs and profit for each project.
• Minimal re-work.

Daily Workload:

· Point of Contact for Clients.

· Attend pre-job kickoff meetings and/or initial site visits before dispatching Crews and equipment.

· Conduct Supervisor safety visits and perform Supervisor safety audits.

· Perform morning planning meetings with other Superintendents and Crews as needed.

· Insure Jomax Employee’s meet Client safety requirements for each job and jobsite.

· Keep an accurate list of equipment on jobsites and equipment available in Jomax yards for the client’s needs.

· Ensure paperwork for projects is completed correctly and received in a timely manner. Correct deficiencies in crews’ paperwork as needed.

· Approve Timecards and Foreman Reports.

· Mentor and train employees that are assigned to you.

· Inform Project Manager of upcoming projects, status of active projects and when work is completed.

· Cross-train in other services the Reclamation Division Offers: Herbicide, Erosion Control, Reclamation, and Land Management.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
