Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Optical Technician to join our team but are also willing to train someone who is looking to start out.

Duties:

- Perform laboratory procedures to fabricate prescription eyewear

- Operate CNC machines to cut and shape lenses

- Utilize laboratory techniques to ensure accurate measurements and fittings

- Collaborate with ophthalmologists and optometrists to meet patient needs

- Conduct quality assurance checks on finished products

- Use lathe equipment for lens finishing

- Assist with retail sales of optical products

Requirements:

- Previous experience in an optical or ophthalmology setting is preferred (but not required)

- Familiarity with laboratory equipment and tools

- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy

- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and colleagues

Pay: $11.00 - $13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
