Shay Kelly at CK Group is recruiting for a Laboratory Assistant on behalf of a leading Pharmaceutical manufacturing company on a 24 month fixed term contract.
About the Company :
Our client is a pharmaceutical research company that uniquely houses commercial, discovery, clinical and manufacturing business units all on site.
Location :
You will be based at the company’s state of the art facilities in Hatfield, Hertfordshire with excellent links to nearby major roads and public transport.
Job Summary :
As a Laboratory Assistant you will be responsible for a variety of operations within the facility. The post holder will provide support services for the various laboratory and facility activities.
Responsibilities include :
- Monitoring and re-stocking of laboratory equipment and consumables
- To contribute to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)
- To carry out general housekeeping of the laboratory - cleaning of labs and equipment
- Collect and disposeof chemical and other waste
- To carry out other duties as instructed
Your Background :
The ideal candidate for this role will have :
- A-Level in relevant scientific subjects or experience within a laboratory environment is essential
- A degree in a science related subject is desirable
- Proficient in the use of computers and common software applications
