Inside Sales Representative

Johnstone Supply- New Jersey is a family owned HVAC/R wholesale-distributor established in 1987. Currently there are eight branch locations in Northern/Central New Jersey and Staten Island.   • Identifies customers’ product needs and coordinates execution of orders.
  • Monitor scheduled shipment dates to ensure timely delivery and expedite as needed.
  • Setup and maintain customer files.
  • Increase sales and average order size by means of cross-selling, up-selling, add-on sales and offering promotional sale items.
  • Monitor scheduled shipment dates to ensure timely delivery and expedite as needed.
  • Contact customers following sales to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and resolve any complaints.
  • Partners with customers, vendors, other department team members, and the Accounting Department to resolve all customer service issues.
  • Determines replacement HVAC/R parts, according to inspection or verbal/description of the old part, and customer requirements.
  • Recognizes and identifies HVAC/R parts and equipment to fulfill customer needs and answer customer questions.
  • Processes customer transactions by entering and printing quotes.
  • Additional duties will be assigned as needed.


Required Qualifications:

  • Requires a High School Diploma or a G.E.D.
  • Requires a Technical Diploma in HVAC/R or work experience of at least two years in the HVAC/R field.
  • Requires two years in a wholesale environment in the HVAC/R industry.
  • Proven extensive inside sales experience
  • Track record of over-achieving quota
  • Proficient with corporate productivity
  • Strong listening and presentation skills
  • Strong phone presence and experience dialing dozens of calls per day
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Must be willing to learn and keep current with the latest developments and technology in the industry.
  • Must be a customer-oriented individual with the ability and skills to meet, greet and service customers. Also, is a team player able to achieve the goals and objectives as mandated by the Branch Manager.
  • Must be able to comprehend business math calculations, research HVAC/R items and help prepare required sales and customer reports.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, in English, to interact with customers and employees, and write and read reports and instructions.
