JOB
Under general direction, responsible for the administration and coordination of payroll and accounting functions, including general ledger and accounts payable, for Johnson County. Collaborate with Finance Department on County budgeting and financial reporting functions. Hire, train, and supervise Accounting and Payroll division employees.

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION

Other duties may be required and assigned.Oversee the payroll function for Johnson County.Oversee accounting functions, including general ledger and accounts payable, for Johnson County.Collaborate with the Finance Department to prepare and monitor portions of the County budget and prepare various budget and financial reports.Prepare, implement, and monitor the Auditor’s Office budget.Represent Johnson County and participate in training/education opportunities and work-related meetings as required.Perform all work duties and activities in accordance with County policies, procedures, and safety practices.Although the individual will be assigned responsibility for particular activities in the area of the Auditor’s Office listed above, he or she will provide backup for and, on a regular basis, work as a team with Deputy Auditors in charge of Elections, Real Estate, and Minutes and Publications.Attend work regularly.Resume and cover letter must be attached to online application.Any questions related to this position, please contact Ines Beltre at ibeltre@johnsoncountyiowa.gov
