What you will do
Johnson Controls has an exciting opportunity for a Continuous Improvement Specialist! You will be responsible for improving the productivity, quality, performance, and profitability of business and operations processes by applying lean methodology and tools to a variety of opportunities and problems. We encourage you to work as member of small teams passionate about projects in process analysis and improvement, including but not limited to, warehouse layout, effective storage strategies, and customer experience improvement. The successful candidate will possess a record of academic focus and leadership experience combined with proven interpersonal and teamwork skills. This position is onsite daily at our Baltimore, MD, office.

How you will do it
Apply Lean tools, methods, and skills to gather and analyze information to improve operational and customer experience processes and results.
Identify and suggest business process improvement project opportunities.
Communicate and sell improvement ideas to key decision makers.
Acquire feedback on proposed improvement ideas.
Design process, system, and technology solutions to meet customer and company business needs.
Help implement and anchor business process and improvement projects.
Measure and report the results (costs and benefits) of implemented projects.
Experience of working as a Process and Solution Key User for warehouse related functions.
What we look for
Required
Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Your degree should be completed within the next 9 months.
Ability to efficiently communicate and work with all levels of employees in the Organization (Associates, Team Leads, Supervisors, Managers & Directors etc.).
Proficient in Lean concepts such as One-Piece Flow (OPF), 5W2H, 5 WHYs, 5S, Poka Yoke, Spaghetti Diagram, Time, and Motion Studies, VSM, Flow Charts, OPL and Standardized Work and validated experience of implementing the above-mentioned techniques to improve productivity and efficiency of Operations.
Experience managing Change Management when implementing new processes is desired.
At least 2 years’ experience in a fast paced and multifaceted warehouse and business environment and proven record of ability to multitask and balance multiple projects while delivering desired results.
Successful candidates will have a good proven understanding of Microsoft Office Suite tools including Visio.

Bachelor’s degree in either Industrial Engineering, Computer Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
