The Johns Hopkins Hospital Vascular Access Team (VAT) is composed of experienced RNs from various clinical backgrounds who work together to provide exceptional care to adult and pediatric patients. As a consulting service for The Johns Hopkins Hospital, we provide assessments, management and education of all things vascular access. Our four distinct services are: adult VAT, pediatric VAT, adult PICCs and pediatric PICCs. We train our nurses to place IVs, midlines, and PICC lines; manage routine and complex central line dressings; and provide emergent access as part of the code response team. We work closely together, relying on our unique skills to provide excellent service in a team-oriented environment. IV experience is required for permanent night shift positions.

Shifts: Full-time; 12 Hour Permanent Night Shifts; weekend rotation (Night Shift Bonus!)

Qualifications:

• Associate degree from Accredited Nursing Program required. BSN/MSN matriculation required within 1 year of hire and completion of degree within 5 years of hire.
• Applicants with an Associate’s degree JHH provides Tuition Reimbursement towards earning your BSN/MSN
• Active Maryland or Compact RN license is required
• BLS CPR certification required
• RN work experience required
