The Johns Hopkins Hospital- Zayed 12 West is a 32-bed adult inpatient unit composed of a 8 acute care neuro medical/surgical beds, 12 bed intermediate care brain rescue unit (BRU), and 6 intermediate care beds. The unit includes a Joint Commission-Advanced Certification in its Comprehensive Stroke Center which cares for acute stroke (hemorrhagic and ischemic), transient ischemic attacks, vasculitis, carotid and vertebral dissection, and subarachnoid hemorrhage. You may care for a spectrum of patients with seizures or any disease that would affect the brain or spinal column.

Shifts:12 hour Day or Night shifts; Days and Nights Rotating during Unit Orientation

Qualifications:

• BSN or MSN preferred. Must be from an accredited nursing program.
• Applicants with an Associate’s degree in nursing from an accredited nursing program may be considered; provided they are enrolled in an accredited BSN/MSN program within 1 year of hire and complete the degree within 5 years of hire.
• Active Maryland or Compact RN license is required
• BLS CPR certification required: AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network accepted
• No RN work experience required

All New Graduate RNs will be automatically enrolled in our yearlong Nurse Residency Program to facilitate your successful transition into professional nursing practice.
