John Testone Jr., CPA PC is Hiring a Personal Assistant Near Syracuse, NY

John Testone Jr., CPA is a tax and accounting firm with an increasing client base that continues to grow due to the excellent quality of services we offer our community members and local business owners. Our firm needs a personal assistant to provide varying levels of administrative support. The personal assistant will primarily assist the Owner of the firm, with additional client-facing receptionist responsibilities as described below. Employment is anticipated to begin in August, but we are willing to adjust the start date for the right candidate.

Objectives of this role

Offer comprehensive assistance to the firm's Owner

Provide administrative support to staff as needed

Facilitate and maintain communication between clients and staff

Responsibilities

Management and maintenance of the schedules of the Owner and Manager, including scheduling client appointments and coordinating meetings

Handling of incoming calls, general inbox email correspondence, and walk-in inquiries

Greeting and directing clients upon arriving at the office

Daily screening, organizing, and prioritizing the Owner’s email inbox

Screening and responding to messages from team members through Microsoft Teams

Typing, formalizing, and disseminating correspondence between the Owner and various government agencies or financial institutions

Participating in client meetings to convert conversations into memos or client notes as needed

Organization, maintenance, updating, and archiving of physical and electronic client files

Additional personal assistant duties as needed

Skills and Qualifications

Previous experience as an administrative assistant, personal assistant, or receptionist required

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize work

Attention to detail, including proofreading and editing skills

Experiencing working in a team environment and offering support to high-level leadership

Experience with office equipment (fax machines, printers, telephone switchboard)

Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office)

Job Details:

Monday through Friday

8-hour shifts with a 30-minute paid lunch break

Flexible summer schedule

Paid time off

Health insurance

Compensation: $18.00 - $22.00

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Ability to Relocate:

  • Syracuse, NY 13203: Relocate before starting work (Required)
