Overview

JRW is looking for an experienced CFO whose focus is to develop financial plans and policies, accounting practices and procedures, and develop and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The CFO, a newly created role, will proactively monitor metrics and partner with the internal stakeholders to create efficiencies to maximize scalability throughout the year. CFO responsibilities include overseeing accounting operations and finance operations while concentrating on analyzing financial data to prepare insightful reporting for strategic decision making.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, direct, and organize the accounting and finance team including mentoring direct reports.
• Create, own, and implement and five-year strategy with best-case and worst-case scenarios based on market research and trend analysis; continually monitoring throughout the year.
• Lead and own the annual budget by departments and on a consolidated level while collaborating with each stakeholder/department head to form a realistic budget that meets the company’s overall goal for the year as well as a stretch budget.
• Proactive and continual monitoring of trends and revise the forecast in real-time to adjust operations or pricing as necessary.
• Price management and strategy. Knows impact of intra year pricing to goals and provides insights on pricing decisions at customers.
• Create cash flow projections with a baseline for working capital needs and provide strategic recommendations the CEO and COO on excess cash usage.
• Create and provide insightful reporting with summaries to each department head monthly and collaborate with each department on the results on key metrics.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders for special ad hoc analysis and reporting.
• Audit and improve productivity and effectiveness of current cross team processes.
• Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual reviews of financial health of the company with leadership team and department heads.
• Facilitate the annual capital plan through approval and ensure all proposed investment ROIs are well thought through, documents and measured with follow-up of their actual performance.
• Develop and ensure the integrity of all company workflow processes from order to cash, including purchasing through receiving, inventory analysis, management, and metrics.
• Ensure the integrity of all IT systems performance relating to accounting and/or related systems including externally integrated systems. This includes financial security, fraud, confidentiality, etc.
• Stay current and ensure compliance/reporting for all regulatory standards and changes (financial/accounting, labor, operational, etc.)
• Oversee all legal and contractual agreements are comprehensive and best represent the interests of our company.
• Facilitate and lead negotiation of all insurance and services-based annuity contracts (health care, insurance, 401K, outside services, recruiting firms, lending, lease, temp firms, legal, IT, etc.)
• Lead any potential acquisitions, mergers, or partnership processes.
• Oversee and manage company lending requirements and banking relationships.
• Oversee and manage company tax and audit requirements.
• Functions as a senior member of company executive leadership team and participates/contributes to leadership team decisions.
• Contract and Deal Compliance. Understands proposals and tracks commitments to deliverable.

Experience and Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in finance or accounting; Master’s degree a plus.
• Position requires strong negotiating skills and the ability to influence others.
• Strong leadership skills: ability to set objectives, delegate tasks, and evaluate performance.
• Experience with system implementations and owning the process.
• Ten years of progressive finance experience with five years of finance leadership.
• Certifications such as CPA, CFA, and CMA are preferred.
