John Hofmeister & Son is Hiring an Accounts Receivables Clerk/Administrative Assistant Near Chicago, IL
We are seeking a candidate for a Full-time Administrative Assistant/Receivables Clerk who wants to make a long-term commitment to learning the position in order to succeed. This person will be responsible for day-to-day activities involving accounting (receivables) and ordering ingredients and supplies for the plant with other general office duties. Would like to have someone who has some logistics experience as well.
Responsibilities:
- Secures revenue by verifying and posting receipts: resolving discrepancies.
- Post customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions.
- Posts revenue by verifying and entering transactions from the lockbox and local deposits.
- Resolves valid or authorized deductions by entering adjusting entries.
- Other duties include, but are not limited to, filing, sending out mail. Answering phone, maintaining supply cabinet.
Requirements:
- Well-organized, reliable, friendly outgoing personality.
- Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
- Intermediate knowledge in MS-Word and MS-Excel.
- General Math Skills.
- Data Entry Skills.
- Knowledge of Sage 100 (MAS 90) would be preferable but not required.
