As an electrical technician your impact is two-fold:
  • For the customer, your goal is to execute (assemble and install) electrical work orders as scheduled, providing quality products on time and to our customer’s specifications.
  • For the team, your goal is to maintain an organized, efficient, and quality centric work area. You’ll be responsible for documenting, communicating, and verifying needs and information; collaborating with other team members and departments; and coordinating activities to ensure an excellent customer experience.

This is a long-term, career-growth oriented position, and as such, the compensation package we’re offering is competitive: $24.00 - $34.00 per hour (based on 2 – 3 years’ experience) to start and includes opportunities for you to quickly maximize your earning potential through training, experience, our ESOP, bonuses, and professional development programs.

Responsibilities & Duties:
  • Assemble electrical control panels following schematics and CAD drawings provided by the Engineering Department.
  • Complete installation of wiring and cable components outside of electrical panel.
  • Identify any component or design discrepancies encountered in the building of electrical control panels.
  • Submit request for change to Engineering personnel to report design issues encountered; or make changes to CAD drawing or schematic and report change to Engineering.
  • Update and maintain computer information related to warehouse inventory and projects.
  • Assist Engineering Department personnel in testing completed control panels.
  • Correct errors discovered in testing process and complete appropriate test paperwork for completed panel.
  • Occasionally respond to inquiries from customers, Inside Sales, and Outside Sales.
  • Identify inventory needs and submit requests to department coordinator and/or engineer.
  • Keep work area neat and orderly including caring for tools assigned to the department.
  • Observe safety and security procedures; use equipment and materials properly.
  • Troubleshoot electrical power including live power at times.
  • Occasional travel to customer locations for installs, or to inspect or perform work.
  • Assist other technicians in other pneumatic/hydraulic assemblies as needed.
  • Other ad hoc duties as needed.
Requirements & Qualifications:
  • Relevant associate degree (or equivalent experience) from a college or technical school preferred.
  • Ability to interpret instructions (written/verbal) and work orders, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness in work while meeting productivity standards.
  • Ability to build and maintain great working relationships with other team members.
  • Must have and maintain a current driver’s license and acceptable driving record and be able to obtain forklift certification.
