Our client is a multi-disciplinary company that provides innovative solutions and services in aerospace, defense, and industrial products and projects. We need several Embedded Software Engineers to support an award winning electronics systems program. These Engineers will design, develop, code, and maintain applications in various software languages but primarily in embedded C . They will develop, enhance, and maintain software code as assigned, provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity, and ultimately contribute to the completion of specific classified programs and projects. The Engineers will be part of a highly skilled team and need to interface with other team members, including those of other engineering disciplines. Job Duties:
- Design, code, and maintain applications in various software languages under little supervision. - Embedded programming (C/C )
- Writing interface control documents, specifications and test procedures for designs. - Solve problems which are varied and may be related to multiple issues, and which may not be clear. If no precedent exists, complex problems may require research and analysis of alternatives involving many factors. - May independently determine and develop an approach to solutions. - May program GUIs (C ).
- May support systems-level requirements analysis, design, and proposal input. This may involve system testing for products, including fielding aid and customer training/support pertaining to product testing.
- Other duties as required. CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
Required:
- Skilled in software development using C , Object Oriented Design, and using Design Patterns.
- Familiarity with Database Design (SQL), Coding Standards, and the SDLC. - Ability to work independently, learn new tasks/handle multiple tasks, solve problems, meet deadlines, and show strong self-motivation and initiative. - Proficiency with Visual Studio 2010 and later. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work in a team environment.
- CLEARANCE: Candidates must possess a Top Secret security clearance in order to be considered for this position. Preferred:
- GUI experience is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity working within a cleared laboratory environment. Education and Experience Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field and at least 2 years of related experience.
