John E. Jenkins, Inc. has an immediate need for an Estimator / Project Manager with site work experience to join our well-established construction firm in the Charlotte/Gastonia, NC area. Requirements for this position include minimum 5 years of estimating / project management experience • Ability to bid and manage turnkey site work projects ($1 to $10 million) • Strong background in earthwork, roadwork, grading, utilities, etc. • Knowledgeable in Procontractor / Agtek / Bluebeam, etc.

Responsibilities include:

Estimating and Project Management

• Ability to communicate and build relationships with developers and general contractors to successfully deliver projects on-time and on budget.

• Preparation of thorough, accurate and timely estimates, including the preparation of bid documents and the development of clear written proposals and correspondence.

• Accurately takeoff and estimate construction quantities, model efficient construction processes and measuring progress throughout the construction life cycle

• Ability to develop value engineering options and provide analysis to help customers achieve budget targets.

• Work with management to assess risks and qualify projects

• Solicit participation from vendors and subcontractors
