Support the Finance Department for the Joffrey Ballet School. This position will work directly with other members of the finance department as well as interact with the Executive Director. The Joffrey Ballet School runs programs across the country providing dance education to over 2500 students each year.

Qualifications, Requirements & Competencies

• Bookkeeping experience with a large entity
• Experience in Quickbooks
• Experience using ADP Payroll
• Experience in Excel
• Payroll experience for a 100 employee company
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Responsibilities:

This is a full-time role located in Akron, OH, with flexibility for some remote work. As an Accounting Assistant, you will be responsible for day-to-day accounting tasks including managing financial statements, utilizing accounting software, bookkeeping, and assisting with finance-related activities. This role will provide assistance in running payroll, handling accounts payable and vendor payments and helping with the organization of financial documents. This is a hybrid role, allowing for a combination of in-office and remote work.

Time Commitment:

Position will be Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm. Position will start with more hours in person and will transition to more remote work once training is complete and trust is established.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $42,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year
