Born out of the civil rights movement in 1965, JobTrain serves clients in our Bay Area career or training centers, and we continue to grow rapidly, looking to add more centers and services to meet the needs of the community.

About the Department and Role
The Supportive Services / Employment Specialist will provide support to clients utilizing the JobTrain Career Center by providing resource and referral counseling to clients with respect to social services and educational programs and providing individual and group employment assistance.
You will play an integral part of the operations of our North Fair Oaks Career Center. You will work on assisting job seekers with services and training the front lines of understanding one of the most dynamic job markets in the world and has shared responsibility for continuing to keep JobTrain on the cutting edge of workforce development in California and nationwide.
You work will from our North Fair Oaks Career Center. Approximately 50% of the time will be spent providing support services, and 50% of the time will be spent on providing employment services.
This is primarily an onsite role, Monday Friday. There also may be times when you will be asked to participate in evening / weekend events.

Compensation and Benefits
JobTrain offers a competitive pay and benefits package including health insurance, dental insurance, vision, acupuncture and chiropractic, paid time off, retirement program employer match, long-term disability and life insurance.
The targeted pay range for this position is : $27 - $32 / hour.
