We are seeking a Permanent VP of Safety to lead our safety and compliance initiatives across our transportation and logistics operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in trucking, drayage, and transportation safety, and will be responsible for ensuring the safety of our employees, customers, and partners. This is a high-impact role that requires a strategic thinker who can drive results and make a meaningful impact on our organization.
Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement safety policies and procedures across our transportation and logistics operations
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and standards
• Conduct regular safety audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement
• Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees and partners
• Manage incident reporting and investigation processes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement safety initiatives and best practices
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments related to safety and compliance
• Build and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and industry organizations

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• 10 years of experience in safety and compliance, with a focus on transportation, logistics, trucking, and/or drayage
• Strong knowledge of relevant safety regulations and standards
• Proven track record of developing and implementing successful safety programs
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and address safety issues
• Ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve results
• Experience working with regulatory agencies and industry organizations is a plus
