About the Role

The Company is seeking a Managing Director for Non-Sponsored Origination in Direct Lending. The successful candidate will be responsible for helping to enhance the senior debt origination capabilities, with a focus on non-sponsored transactions. This role involves building and managing relationships with potential borrowers, non-traditional sponsors, and other partners in the direct lending community. Key responsibilities include originating investment opportunities, developing and maintaining relationships with various industry participants, and leading the origination, underwriting, and closing processes for financing opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree (MBA or CFA expected), a significant background in middle-market credit and originations, and a proven track record in direct underwriting and portfolio management.Applicants for the Managing Director positions should possess the following: a Bachelor's degree is required, with an MBA or CFA expected; a strong credit background with at least 10 years' of experience for the Director role and 15 years' for the Managing Director role; proven leadership skills in the middle-market credit and loan origination market; deep relationships with prospective borrowers and industry members; experience in direct origination of non-sponsored transactions; and the ability to manage multi-product transaction teams. The role requires the candidate to be adept at balancing a competitive business approach with a calm, steady demeanor, and to have the ability to handle conflict professionally.
