The Senior Property Accountant will be responsible for managing all day-to-day financials for a portfolio of commercial real estate properties. The Property Accountant will also contribute to the budget/variance analysis for new construction projects across the country.

Job Details
Responsibilities:

• Oversee all financial aspects of our property portfolio, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Utilize Yardi software to manage property accounts and financial data.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reports.
• Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
• Review and process Capital Expenditure requests and track the completion of projects.
• Record, reconcile, and audit all income and expenses from property operations.
• Analyze financial data and provide on-demand financial analysis and reports.
• Ensure compliance with all internal policies, relevant regulations, and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with property management teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in property accounting, Yardi, journal entries, financial reporting, and fixed assets.
• Advanced proficiency in Yardi property management software.
• Excellent knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Strong analytical skills with an attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.
• Proactive problem-solver with a strong work ethic.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
