As a senior-level contributor to our client services team, you will take charge of planning, directing, and managing a team of junior technical professionals. Together, you will be responsible for generating comprehensive construction plans that serve as effective tools for project development and implementation.
Job Details
Primary Responsibilities
Lead, organize, and oversee the daily engineering activities of the assigned staff, ensuring the successful completion of client project objectives. Effectively prioritize tasks for the team to align with client, team, and organizational objectives.
Collaborate alongside the Team Leader in initial client meetings for new project proposals and kickoffs. This involvement ensures a comprehensive grasp of project nuances, aiding in proposal preparation and the accurate execution of tasks.
Support the Team Leader in creating well-structured client proposals, encompassing clear scopes of work, pricing, project schedules, and resource needs.
Evaluate and approve the technical strategies for project tasks, along with intermediate and final work products. This oversight guarantees alignment with client goals and adherence to relevant local, state, and federal regulations, in addition to maintaining company standards for quality assurance and control.
Review requisite research and data essential for project design, including zoning stipulations, updated design benchmarks, existing utility data, environmental considerations, topographical insights, and more.
Engage with pertinent government agencies as needed, participating in meetings to ensure project compliance with agency standards and secure necessary approvals.
Identify instances where client-requested work falls beyond the original contract scope. Facilitate the issuance and approval of change orders before executing any additional tasks.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, coupled with a minimum of 8 years of experience in civil engineering design related to land and site development.
Licensed as a Professional Engineer (P.E.)
Proficiency in CAD software is essential.
