Job Details
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Compliance:
Oversee and ensure adherence to all regulatory and legal financial requirements.
Develop, implement, and monitor financial policies, procedures, and controls to maintain compliance.
Stay current with evolving financial regulations and make necessary adjustments to maintain compliance.
GAAP Adherence:
Maintain a deep understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and ensure that all accounting practices conform to these standards.
Provide guidance and training to the accounting team on GAAP principles and updates.
Period Closing:
Manage the timely and accurate execution of the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
Review financial statements, ledgers, and reports for accuracy and completeness before finalization.
Coordinate with other departments to gather necessary financial data for period closing.
Financial Reporting:
Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Generate accurate and timely financial reports for management and external stakeholders.
Ensure financial data is presented in a clear and understandable manner.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Collaborate with various departments to develop and monitor budgets and forecasts.
Analyze budget-to-actual variances and provide insights to management for decision-making.
Audit Support:
Serve as the main point of contact for internal and external auditors.
Assist in the preparation of audit schedules, and provide necessary documentation and explanations during audits.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least a year in a supervisory or managerial role.
Thorough knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial compliance regulations.
CPA preferred
Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
