Growing company in the services industry is looking for a tenured and skilled Senior Accountant with a strong background in month end close and working in the General Ledger.
The role includes accounts payable, accounts receivables, reconciliations, journal entries, month end reporting and financial reporting for multiple entities. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience as a Senior Accountant, is degreed in Accounting or Finance or a related discipline and great job tenure.

This position is onsite Monday-Friday in their beautiful offices located in Raleigh.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Senior Accountant to join our team in the construction industry. This is a permanent, full-time position that will involve managing a variety of accounting tasks, including HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical and General Ledger Accounting. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, where every day brings new challenges and opportunities for growth.
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Accountant, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Overseeing and managing all aspects of HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, and General Ledger Accounting.
2. Handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and processed.
3. Conducting regular reconciliations of all accounts and resolving any discrepancies.
4. Utilizing Sage Intacct and QuickBooks to manage financial data and generate reports.
5. Preparing monthly financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
6. Assisting with month-end closing processes and generating reports for multiple entities.
7. Collaborating with other team members to improve and streamline accounting processes.
8. Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards.
9. Providing support for internal and external audits.
10. Assisting with budget preparation and financial planning processes.
Qualifications:
To qualify for the Senior Accountant position, you must meet the following criteria:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in General Ledger Accounting.
3. Experience in HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical a plus, but not required.
4. Experience with AP and AR functions, including the ability to handle high volumes of transactions.
5. Strong skills in Sage Intacct and QuickBooks a plus.
6. Proven ability to conduct thorough reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
7. Experience with monthly reporting and month-end closing processes.
8. Ability to manage financial data and reporting for multiple entities.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team.
10. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
11. Knowledge of relevant regulations and industry standards, with the ability to ensure compliance.
