We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Permanent Route Driver to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. This position is ideal for a self-motivated professional with strong attention to detail and an unwavering commitment to safety. As a Permanent Route Driver, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of our products. This is an excellent opportunity to join a thriving company and play a key role in our ongoing success.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle on assigned routes to transport goods to our clients in a timely manner.
- Conduct regular vehicle inspections to ensure proper functioning and compliance with safety regulations.
- Load and unload products from the vehicle, ensuring that they are properly secured to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including times, routes, and any issues or delays.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and management regarding any route changes, delays, or other issues that may arise.
- Manage inventory and ensure that all deliveries are accurate and complete.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing any questions or concerns from clients in a professional and courteous manner.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures, as well as all local, state, and federal regulations regarding commercial driving.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in route driving or a similar role.
- Proven experience in inventory management.
- Valid commercial driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Strong knowledge of local routes and the ability to use GPS devices.
- Excellent physical condition and the ability to lift heavy items.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Commitment to safety and compliance with all driving regulations.
