Job Details

The QC Tech will be responsible for maintaining the quality programs. This position will ensure that all quality programs meet or exceed BRC, FSMA, and HACCP standards as well as all other regulatory, customer and company related quality and food safety requirements.

The QC Tech will also support the quality release of finished goods, raw material, confirmation of reformulation of existing products and support the quality review process for confirming all products produced are consistent with the quality and sensory attributes.

Essential Duties :

• Verify adherence and maintenance of the Food Safety, Compliance, and Quality Systems.
• Routinely performs quality tests and analysis on raw materials, finished products, production equipment and environment.
• Performs inspections and audits of the manufacturing environment and reports results to management.
• Works closely with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, and Supply Chain departments to collect and communicate quality data and parameters.
• Works closely with R&D to support plant production trials.
• Follows laboratory standard operating procedures to produce accurate and repeatable results.
• Maintains hygiene and organization standards in the QA Laboratories.
• Oversees the production and quality of mycelium starter cultures.
• Complies with all company safety and Good Manufacturing Practices policies.

Required :

• Degree in microbiology, chemistry, or related field from an accredited institution.
• 1 years of related manufacturing experience.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills, with special ability to work independently and establish work priorities with team members.
• Critical thinking and decision-making skills to consider and identify the strengths and weakness of alternative solutions and chose the most appropriate course of action.
• Ability to communicate information and ideas effectively and in a way that other Team Members will understand.
• Ability to read and comprehend work instructions and work-related documents.

Preferred :

• QA experience within the food manufacturing industry.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control principles and analysis techniques to maximize the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
• Knowledge of scientific principles and practices that provide the foundation for laboratory testing including microbiology and chemistry
