This is a 2-month (250-300 hours) mostly remote contract position.
Job Details
Our client is seeking a talented Mechanical Design Engineer with a strong focus on manufacturing and product design. This role requires a creative and analytical mindset to design and develop new products, as well as improve existing ones. The ideal candidate will have experience in all stages of the product development process, from concept to production, with a strong emphasis on manufacturability and design for assembly.
Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop mechanical systems and products that meet client specifications and industry standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product feasibility and manufacturability.
• Conduct simulations and analysis to test and validate designs.
• Prepare detailed technical drawings and documentation for manufacturing and assembly.
• Work closely with manufacturing teams to resolve any design issues during the production process.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5 years of experience in mechanical design, with a focus on manufacturing and product development.
• Strong proficiency in CAD software (Onshape preferred)
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong project management abilities and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Proficiency with computer simulations like FEA/CFD
