We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly-detailed individual to join our team as a Permanent Inventory Support in the Manufacturing industry. This role is integral to our operations, ensuring that our production lines run smoothly and efficiently. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our inventory, stocking shelves, lifting boxes and supplies, and receiving shipments. This is a hands-on role that requires a proactive approach, exceptional organizational skills, and a keen eye for detail. With your expertise, you will play a crucial role in maintaining an effective and efficient inventory system that supports our manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage and maintain the company's material and stocked product inventory including stock profiles and location.
2. Handle and document storage and transportation of inventory.
3. Inspect the levels of business supplies and raw material to identify shortages.
4. Ensure product stock is adequate for all distribution channels and cover direct demand from customers.
5. Record daily deliveries and shipments to reconcile inventory.
6. Use software to monitor demand and document characteristics of inventory.
7. Collaborate with warehouse employees and other staff to ensure business goals are met.
8. Report to upper management on stock levels, issues etc.
9. Participate in year-end and general stock takes as instructed.
10. Regularly lift, move and place heavy items by hand or with material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum of 2 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a similar role in the manufacturing industry.
2. Proficiency in inventory management software and databases.
3. Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.
4. Working knowledge of inventory management software (e.g. ERP)
5. Ability to accurately track inventory and create reports.
6. An analytical mind with strong attention to detail.
7. Outstanding organizational and planning skills.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
9. Reliable and trustworthy.
10. Physical ability to frequently lift and carry materials weighing up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
11. Forklift certification or previous forklift experience would be an asset.
12. High school diploma; further education or certification in business, logistics or a related field will be an advantage.
