1. Developing and preparing detailed cost estimates for manufacturing projects based on architectural millwork, engineering drawings, and specifications.
2. Performing bid take offs, preparing bid documents, and analyzing bids to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.
3. Utilizing On-Screen Take Off software to extract quantities from digital plans and drawings.
4. Collaborating with the project management team to develop project schedules and plans.
5. Evaluating material and labor costs, considering current market trends and future potential changes.
6. Assisting in the negotiation of contracts and sub-contracts.
7. Providing continuous updates and reports to project managers and clients about the progress of the estimation process.
8. Participating in project meetings and providing input on cost-related matters.
9. Continuously improving estimation processes and procedures to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
Job Details
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Estimator role should possess the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in estimation, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
2. Proven experience in architectural millwork, bid take offs, On-Screen Take Off, and bid analysis.
3. Proficiency in using estimation software and tools.
4. Strong mathematical and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
5. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
6. A strong understanding of manufacturing processes and principles.
7. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
8. A degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
