We are a leading company in the construction industry, seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Employee Relations Specialist to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing employee relations, conflict resolution, and partnership building.

This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of policies and procedures, and the ability to coach and mentor team members.

Responsibilities :

1. Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, conducting effective, thorough, and objective investigations when necessary.

2. Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.

3. Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).

4. Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention.

5. Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation.

6. Develop, revise, and implement HR policies and procedures.

7. Prepare and maintain employee documentation, including disciplinary records, performance improvement plans, and termination paperwork.

8. Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

9. Partner with other departments to communicate Human Resources policies, procedures, laws, standards and government regulations.

10. Coach and mentor at management level to develop leadership capabilities.

11. Serve as a bilingual resource for employees and management, with proficiency in Spanish.

Qualifications :

1. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field required.

2. Minimum of 5 years of experience resolving complex employee relations issues.

3. Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, federal and state respective employment laws.

4. Excellent problem-solving capabilities with the ability to analyze complex information.

5. Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks.

6. Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.

7. Ability to develop strong trusting relationships in order to gain support and achieve results.

8. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, remain flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient.

9. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

10. Bilingual in English and Spanish.

11. Experience in the construction industry is preferred but not required.
