We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects in the Engineering industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing all aspects of electrical components, equipment, and machinery.
Responsibilities:
As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be expected to:
1. Utilize your extensive knowledge and experience in electrical systems, power systems, and control systems to design and develop innovative solutions for our clients.
2. Work closely with BIM modelers to create and modify designs to meet customer specifications.
3. Apply your construction experience to ensure that designs are practical, safe, and compliant with local codes and regulations.
4. Use Autocad and Revit to prepare and present design drawings, details, and specifications.
5. Collaborate with other team members to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
6. Conduct research to resolve design and development issues.
7. Participate in project meetings and provide technical support to project team members.
8. Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the latest trends and technologies in the electrical engineering field.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you must have:
1. A Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of design experience, preferably in the Engineering/Construction industry.
3. Experience working with BIM modelers.
4. Extensive experience with electrical systems, power systems, and control systems.
5. Proficiency in using Autocad and Revit.
6. Construction experience, with a strong understanding of how designs are implemented in the real world.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions.
8. Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts and designs to non-technical stakeholders.
9. The ability to work well in a team, as well as independently.
10. A strong commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
