We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Controller to join our Engineering industry team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in managing Union Payroll, Accounting, and CPA functions in the CIVIL, highway, and construction sectors. As a Permanent Controller, you will be responsible for leading the finance team, driving financial performance, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:

• Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
• Manage Union Payroll and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure effective and efficient operations
• Provide strategic financial guidance to the executive team to support business growth and profitability
• Manage the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors
• Lead the preparation of financial statements and related disclosures in accordance with GAAP
• Ensure compliance with all tax and regulatory requirements
• Manage and mentor the finance team to achieve high performance and professional development
• Work collaboratively with other departments to support business objectives

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA preferred
• 3 years of experience in a Controller role in the CIVIL, highway, or construction industry
• Strong knowledge of Union Payroll and related regulations
• Experience with accounting software and ERP systems
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proven track record of driving financial performance and achieving results
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
