Description

Responsibilities:

• As the Senior Controller - Manufacturing you will oversee financial operations and reporting for a manufacturing facility based in San Jose, CA.
• Provide strategic financial guidance and support to the general manager, VP Finance, and and leadership.
• Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including variance analysis and recommendations for improvement.
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
• Collaborate with corporate finance and accounting teams to ensure alignment with company-wide objectives and standards.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting processes for the facility, working closely with the general manager, plant manager, and department heads.
• Manage and mentor a team of cost accountants, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize financial processes and enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Support ad-hoc financial projects and initiatives as needed.

Profile

Qualifications:

• As the Senior Controller - Manufacturing you will have a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in financial management and accounting, within the manufacturing industry.
• Proven track record of success in a leadership role, with experience managing and developing a team across a manufacturing site.
• Strong understanding of financial principles, practices, and regulations.
• Excellent cost accounting experience and understanding.
• Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and trends.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial management software.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence decision-making.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• This role is on site and based in San Jose, CA
