We are currently seeking an experienced Contract Accounts Payable Clerk to join our dynamic finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the accounts payable process, including matching, coding, batching, and processing checks to vendors. This is a contract position that requires a minimum of 1 years of experience in accounts payable.
Responsibilities:

• Manage the accounts payable process, ensuring that all invoices are processed accurately and in a timely manner
• Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents
• Code invoices with appropriate general ledger accounts
• Batch invoices for payment and ensure that all necessary approvals have been obtained
• Process checks to vendors and ensure that all payments are made in accordance with company policies and procedures
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies
• Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions
• Assist with month-end closing activities as needed
• Provide support to other members of the finance team as needed

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 years of experience in accounts payable
• Strong understanding of the accounts payable process and related accounting principles
• Ability to match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents
• Proficiency in coding invoices with appropriate general ledger accounts
• Experience batching invoices for payment and processing checks to vendors
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software applications
